Sarah McPhail (2024 School Captain) opened proceedings with the Acknowledgement of Country. Mrs Leah Russell, Chairwoman of the College Council, warmly welcomed attendees, including notable guests such as The Honourable Member for Strathfield, Mr Jason Yat-Sen Li, and dignitaries from the College Council, Foundation and the P&F Association.
The evening was enriched by a stirring performance by Jio Yim (Year 11), who recited Gerard Manley Hopkins' As Kingfishers Catch Fire . Dr Burgis then provided an overview of the SkyPath Project, underlining its architectural significance and the long-term benefits these innovative classrooms will bring to the school and its students.
Mr Jason Yat-Sen Li MP unveiled the dedication plaque with P&F Association Vice President Lisa Surian, officially opening SkyPath. Mr Li highlighted the new facility's importance in educating young women, noting that “leaders of the future will learn in this building.”
