This year, we are proud to announce the introduction of the Miss Audrey Keown OAM Boarding and Academic Scholarships, honouring one teacher’s remarkable legacy.

Miss Keown, who taught at Croydon for over 43 years, spearheaded PLC Sydney’s award-winning speech and drama programs and became the heart of the school’s Boarding program, nurturing students from regional Australia in particular. She was a fierce advocate for the education of young women, shaping generations of girls who attended our school, for which she was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for Education. Her teaching continues to live on in the hearts and minds of the many students she inspired.

As we did so successfully in 2023, this year, on Wednesday 20 November, we will again ask our entire PLC Sydney family, past and present, to support PLC Sydney’s scholarships and bursaries program.

Donations will go to supporting future recipients of the Miss Audrey Keown Scholarships, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to access a PLC Sydney education - scholarships named after a woman who gave so much to generations of young women.

At its core, a scholarship and bursary program opens the doors of opportunity for students who might otherwise be unable to access a quality education.

DR PAUL BURGIS, PRINCIPAL PLC SYDNEY

On Wednesday 20 November, please join us in support of tomorrow’s women as we raise funds for our scholarships program. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
