All Day Workshop for Yrs 9 & 10: This workshop is for students who need consolidation and revision in the areas of:
Expressions: Equation And Inequalities
- Linear equation and inequalities
- Graphing straight lines and finding the equation of a line
- Using formulas for distance and midpoint
- Parallel lines and perpendicular lines
- Solving simultaneous equations using substitution
Indices and Surds
- Index laws
- Fractional and negative indices
- Exponential equations
- Adding and subtracting surds
- Multiplying and dividing surds
Quadratic Expressions and Equations
- Factorising monic and non-monic quadratic trinomials
- Factorising by completing the square
- Solving quadratic equations by factorising
- Using quadratic equations to solve problems
Geometrical Figures
- Congruent and similar triangles
- Proving and applying similar triangles
- Solving problems with deductive geometry
