Holiday Program for Kindergarten students
Big School Explorers – Ready, Set, School! This one-day program is designed especially for children who will be starting kindergarten. Young learners will step into the world of “big school” through a day filled with discovery, creativity, and connection. Our hands-on, play-based activities help children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning as they prepare for their exciting transition into kindergarten.
Throughout the day, children will experience age-appropriate versions of real school routines—problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and exploring new environments. Through storytelling, outdoor exploration, and creative projects, they’ll strengthen the foundational skills needed to begin school feeling ready and assured.
Children will:
- Strengthen early literacy and numeracy skills through interactive games, stories, and rhymes.
- Build communication and collaboration skills through friendly group challenges.
- Develop self-regulation, independence, and resilience through simple mindful activities.
- Explore curiosity and critical thinking through hands-on investigations.
- Gain confidence in everyday kindergarten routines — packing bags, lining up, and following visual cues.
Grounded in the AEDC developmental domains and aligned with Best Start Kindergarten Assessment priorities, Big School Explorers supports every child who is about to start kindergarten to feel capable, curious, and ready to take their next big step with confidence.
