Holiday Program for Gifted Students: Years 4–6
Two workshops will be run over two days:
- Day 1 Workshop: Auditioning with Confidence – Wednesday 21 January 2026
- Day 2 Workshop: Future Innovators: Robotics in Action – Thursday 22 January 2026
Day 1 Workshop: Auditioning with Confidence
In this program, students will learn how to make a strong first impression when auditioning for a role, whether it’s for a stage show or a job interview! Through acting techniques and drama activities, students will focus on what makes them unique and harness those unique quirks in an audition situation. Students will work together in pairs or trios and perform an audition scene provided by the teacher. Each student will get the chance to practise an audition scenario and feel better equipped to tackle a real audition in the future.

Workshop Duration: 9.00 am – 3.00 pm ( 6 hrs - 30 min lunch break)
Cost: $160 for each Workshop (Day 1 or Day 2)

Day 2 Workshop: Future Innovators: Robotics in Action – Coding & Engineering
Take your child’s robotics skills further in this fast-paced, hands-on workshop! After a quick recap of the basics from our previous Edison program, students will step beyond built-in features and card programming as they move into EdBlocks, where they’ll code smarter, more capable robots.
Using Edison robots, children will design, test and improve their programs through a series of real-world inspired engineering challenges.
Children will:
- Boost Their Coding Skills – build multi-step programs using EdBlocks, including loops, logic and sensor-based behaviours.
- Explore Robotics & Engineering – see how mechanics, motors and sensors work together to create intelligent machines.
- Develop Problem-Solving & Teamwork – work collaboratively to plan strategies, troubleshoot issues and refine solutions.
- Experience Creative Innovation – discover how coding and robotics connect to the technology shaping their world.
Activities may include Smart Maze Navigation, Obstacle Missions, Line Challenges, Rescue Tasks and Friendly Robot Competitions, all designed to combine creativity, strategy and purposeful learning.
This workshop blends fun, discovery and engineering thinking—empowering children to see themselves as capable young innovators and confident creators in the world of robotics.
