Holiday Program for Gifted and High Potential Students – Kindergarten & Year 1
Two workshops will be run over two days:

Day 1 Workshop: World Wide Wanderers
The World Wide Wanderers one-day immersion invites students to experience a whirlwind journey across world cultures—packed into a single, vibrant day of discovery. Students will explore highlights from countries such as China, Italy, India, Kenya, and Japan through hands-on creative tasks and interactive mini-lessons.
The day begins with each student decorating a personal “traveller’s passport” to accompany them on their cultural adventure. As they rotate through themed stations, they will sample a taste of global traditions: creating simple artworks, exploring iconic landmarks, learning about important festivals, and discovering unique customs from around the world.
A special feature of this immersive day is our interactive Japan experience, where students will try their hand at traditional calligraphy, learn about the discipline and honour code of samurai warriors, and explore the dynamic world of sumo wrestling.
Designed to broaden horizons in a single engaging session, this program inspires curiosity, global awareness, and a genuine appreciation for cultural diversity—all in one memorable day.

Day 2 Workshop: Colour Chemistry
Dive into a vibrant, one-day immersion in colour and chemistry!
Students will step into a world of hands-on discovery as they explore how colours blend, separate and transform. Throughout the day, they’ll experiment with primary and secondary colours, investigate states of matter, and create eye-opening reactions. Using chromatography, light, transparency and surface-tension activities, students will uncover the hidden science behind everyday colour. With fun, accessible challenges that bring physical changes and mixing to life, this workshop will leave every young scientist inspired by the dazzling world of chemistry that surrounds them.
