Two workshops will be run over two days:
Step into the fascinating world of Greek mythology, where powerful gods, courageous heroes, mythical creatures and extraordinary adventures provide an exciting introduction to the stories and culture of the ancient world.
Throughout the day, students will discover some of the most memorable myths, characters and creatures of Ancient Greece, including Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, Hercules, Medusa and the Minotaur. Through guided discussion and creative activities, children will explore these fascinating stories before bringing their learning to life through projects such as crafting Medusa and her snakes and designing their own Greek shields and temples.
Beyond the stories and creative fun, the program encourages students to develop creativity, fine motor skills, vocabulary, listening and comprehension skills, confidence, imagination and general knowledge. Children will also begin to explore important ideas about ancient history, storytelling, heroes, mythology and the ways people in the ancient world understood and explained the world around them.
Designed to make learning feel like an adventure, Greek Mythology: Gods, Heroes & Creative Adventures offers curious and creative young learners an academically enriching and highly engaging day filled with fascinating stories, imaginative exploration and colourful creations.
Little Doctors is an interactive medical science holiday program designed to inspire young scientists in Kindergarten and Year 1.
Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, children will step into the world of doctors and medical science as they explore how the human body works. Students will investigate the functions of the heart, lungs, brain and bones through age-appropriate scientific activities, models, demonstrations and stories that make complex ideas accessible and exciting for young learners.
Students will also be introduced to basic first aid and emergency awareness, including simple bandage application and an understanding of how we can respond safely and responsibly when someone needs help.
More than a day of scientific discovery, Little Doctors encourages children to ask questions, make observations, investigate how things work and develop their curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and confidence. Through practical activities and imaginative exploration, students will begin to develop an understanding of human biology, health and the important role of medical professionals.
